What are the ethical implications of artificial intelligence? We know that we are facing an automated future and we know that AI is proving ever-more illimitable in its capabilities and applications, but what we don’t know is whether the technology will ultimately prove friend or foe.
AI holds the potential for great good. It could drive us to a post-work utopia in which our time is liberated from labor. Or, it could lead us down a darker path, one with increased poverty and social isolation.
