In his February 2017 blog "What Do You Mean by "Event-Driven?", Martin Fowler – one of the founding fathers of the Agile Software Manifesto – outlines the broad conclusions of a late-2016 summit that included senior developers from all over the World. The summit was held “to discuss the nature of 'event-Driven' applications." According to Fowler, the "biggest outcome of the summit was recognizing that when people talk about ‘events,' they actually mean some quite different things."
