I wrote this script to pull/sync gitignores from github.com/gitignore, and appends custom ignores from a .gitignore.local file. It works well for me and is so simple I can't help wonder if I'm just unaware of a superior, popular solution. Does anyone do something similar or use a nice standard tool?
